Church Musicians Summer Institute 2019
Monday, August 12, Field trip for CMSI attendees at Maranatha Canadian Reformed Church pipe organ from 9;30 - 11 AM.
Purpose: to motivate pianists and untrained organists to add organ lessons to their future.
When: August 12, 13, 14, 15, 2019, 9 am – 4 pm
Cost: $300.00 Cdn incl tax. Special offer: Full tuition scholarship is available for active piano students under 20 years of age, with registrations received prior to June 30.
Description: Organ development sessions include: lectures on organ voices and their character, pedal playing, organ accompaniment, etc. Followed by demos and practice time, and a ‘concert’ on the final afternoon. This is CMSI’s 32nd consecutive year to benefit potential organ students, and promote the training of organists for churches. CMSI is sponsored by Carillon Music and the Vancouver Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO).
